Doyourown is an ecommerce company assisting people to buy and sell houses. Specifically the services offered are the ordering of conveyancing search reports, EPCs and HIPs.

This forum and portal, along with the buying of searches, is available to people involved in the process of buying and selling homes. Both house buyers or sellers (the consumers) and professionals are welcome to join this community and in doing so agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

Consumers will have access to the Doyourown resources which attempt to detail the conveyancing process and to resources uploaded by members of this community. Doyourown (the organisation) will assist those who wish to make the journey of doing their own conveyancing by enabling users to order searches. Doyourown will also assist those who wish to engage professionals by enabling these organisations to promote themselves within the forum and portal. Monthly fees are payable by such organisations. Poa.
The resources are available on an as-is basis, without guarantees and warranties, expressed or implied.

Professionals, such as estate agents, conveyancers, removers and solicitors, are encouraged to promote their services and to respond to items posted in the message board.
Doyourown wishes to preserve the integrity of all data posted to this site, and ensure that the site is used as a genuine network for supporting people to buy and sell houses, and in particular to do their own conveyancing. Users are therefore requested to comply with these aims. We will consider all requests for registration. Registration is automatic and immediate but can be changed by the organisation.

The organisation reserves the right to discontinue free access to the site without notice and to introduce subscription fees for those who wish to continue to use the site at that point in time.

Doyourown liability is limited to the amount paid per transaction, ie. the amount will be refunded in the case of an unresolved dispute.
Any misuse of the forum and portal will result in the username being disabled. Also all materials posted on the portal will be monitored and the organisation reserves the right to edit, reject or remove any unsuitable or objectionable material.
Please ensure that any materials posted do not infringe copyright and are virus checked.

Should you wish to cancel or re-schedule an Order, you agree to give us as much notice (in writing) as is reasonably practicable. However, you will not be entitled to obtain a refund of the Charges of items already in progress or completed.

We cannot accept any liability for any error in a Report, which is based on any error or inaccuracy in a public register. Nor will be liable for any information contained within a Report, which is based on information that we have obtained from a third party (not being information derived from the public register).

We cannot accept any responsibility for any inaccuracy or error in the Report that is based on incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by you.
Subject to any other provisions in these Conditions, we will not be liable to you for any loss, damages, costs or expenses caused directly or indirectly by a delay in Delivery (even if caused by our negligence).

We will not be liable for any loss of actual or anticipated profits or savings, loss of business, loss of opportunity or for any special, indirect or consequential loss whether arising from a breach of the Conditions or negligence in performing the Services even if we were advised of or knew of likelihood of such loss occurring.

For online orders payments are taken in advance via our secure links such as PayPal. Prices of products may vary without notice. When an order is placed online, if there is a discrepancy with the report provider (ie. the price is less or more), you will be contacted and if you wish to proceed with the item, any underpayment must first be paid. Orders will be processed once payment is cleared. In the case of an overpayment, the balance will be refunded.

Copying

You may view this website and you are welcome to print hard copies of any material on it for your personal, non-commercial use. All other copying whether in electronic, hard copy or other format is prohibited. You must not include links to this website in any other website without our written consent. We reserve all rights to take action against any person who breaches these copyright restrictions.
